CTS Serves on Teaming Panel at Crain’s Chicago Business Event

In conjunction with Crain’s Chicago Business and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Julie Scott served on a panel at the Metropolitan Club to discuss “Teaming for Contracts”.

This panel discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges associated with various types of teaming agreements in both corporate and government sector contracts. Julie shared best practices utilized by CTS to leverage the unique strengths and expertise of the CTS team in teaming agreements, along with the firm’s WBE-certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise.

CTS Speaks at Athena International Leadership Forum

In conjunction with Athena International and PwC, Julie Scott served on a panel along with United Airlines, PwC and Holabird & Root to discuss ‘Fierce Advocacy and Giving Back’. Julie’s remarks were based on personal experiences and her empowerment journey, shared with over 75 participants.

Subsequent to the panel discussion, Julie Scott and the other panelists facilitated break-out sessions to share best practices and experiences.

CTS as Sponsor of Women in the Forefront Luncheon

CTS welcomed clients, staff and other guests for the 24th annual Women in the Forefront Luncheon, which is The Chicago Network’s hallmark event. This highly anticipated annual gathering inspires women through stories of achievement and personal reflection. Each year, one of the country’s most influential women shares her professional and personal experiences and discusses the importance of diversity in the workplace with a sold-out audience of more than 1,400 of Chicago’s leaders.

The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon was Ilene Gordon, Chairman, President and CEO, Ingredion Incorporated and One of Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Woman in Business.

Julie Scott is a member of The Chicago Network and Vice-Chair of the Entrepreneurs Committee.

CTS Hosts Finding Her Way breakfast

CTS hosted staff, clients and friends of the firm for the YWCA Finding Her Way breakfast event in April. The event included a presentation by YWCA staff who work directly with the many women and girls served by the YWCA.

Julie Scott serves on the Executive Committee and Chair of the Finance Committee for the YWCA of Chicago, whose mission is the empowerment of women and racial justice. Last year alone, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago served over 138,000 women and children with innovative programming focused on sexual violence support services, economic empowerment, early childcare education.

Inaugural Host Analytics Cloud-Computing User Group

Greg Allen, along with fellow CTS staff Russell Fulling, Larry Merrick and Julie Scott, assisted with the launch of the Host Analytics (HA) Midwest User Group. The focus of the group is to share experience regarding the optimization of the use of HA, along with best practices. This HA user group meets on a quarterly basis, and has grown to over 25 participants/members.

Subsequent to the most recent HA user group meeting, CTS hosted a reception for all user group members and guests.

CTS invited to join GCBF–Government Contractors Business Forum

CTS has been invited to join the GCBF and is now its newest member. The GCBF is a distinguished business group of established government contractors, consultants and suppliers that have been invited to meet monthly with government officials in leadership positions to keep abreast of new developments in government procurement, regulations, policies, legislation, programs, business resources and major contract opportunities with local, state and federal agencies.

CTS staff including Julie Scott, Pam Jackson, Paul Thompson, and Beth Stone attend monthly meetings with the Government Contractors Business Forum, along with additional board meetings for selected members, to discuss opportunities to collaborate and serve these agencies.
